The (alleged) holy see has answered to the List of Issues prepared by the Committee on the Rights of the Child after their Periodic Report. See our earlier post: http://survivorsvoice-europe.org/?p=6447
Although the new (alleged) holy father publicly proclaims that he will clean up the church, the underlaying message in the answers to the inquiry are exactly the same, but even more evading, ignorant and arrogant…
You can read the full answers here: Written replies by the (alleged) holy see
I leave the analysis of the juridical ass twisting to the lawyers who are far more capable to decipher this kind of stuff, and limit myself to list my conclusions after reading their answers and strongly encourage you to read the above mentioned document and to come to your own.
Conclusions
The (alleged) holy see is not a state, as they explain in their answers…
So they should not have a seat in the UN and even less in the Commission for the Rights of the Child, especially as they do not ratify the Treaty apart from in Vatican City, a hamlet with 800 inhabitants of which a number are convicted or prosecuted criminals who should definitely not have a voice in the UN.
The (alleged) holy see acts as the world’s moral authority, having an opinion about how the world’s population should live their lives while doing everything (their) god forbids. They lie, rape, steal, murder as long as it is for their worldly church’s good.
The (alleged) holy see has no intention to come clean of the abuse of the past or protect catholic children in the future.
You want to clean the church, Francis? That would be so easy…
Tell the perpetrators, for the good of the church, to turn themselves in to their local law enforcement authorities ! Because you have those powers over believers. Tell them to stop the abuse and turn themselves in.
And they will follow that order, are obliged to follow it as they have sworn an oath to do so.
But that is not done…
That is not done as much as expelling the criminals hiding in Vatican City from the authorities.
